What captains ask, before they inquire.

 

Is this available only on Green Lake, Wisconsin?

Wood & Water is currently offered exclusively on Green Lake, Wisconsin from July - September 2026. If you have a wooden boat on different waters and are interested in a destination session, reach out to us directly.

What types of wooden boats do you photograph?

All of them. Classic runabouts, Chris-Crafts, Hacker Craft, Grand Crafts, Garwoods, Lymans, mahogany launches, wooden sailboats, restored antiques. If you have a wooden boat you love, this experience is for you. The craft matters more than the make.

What if the weather doesn't cooperate?

Weather is part of the water. Overcast mornings, dramatic skies, and mist on the lake produce some of the most beautiful wooden boat imagery. We plan for the day we have, not the day we wish for. Severe weather situations are handled with a backup date policy discussed during your consultation call.

How far in advance should I book?

This is a seasonal and limited offering from July - September 2026. Dates fill early. We recommend reaching out as soon as you know this is the chapter you want to document. Weekend dates in particular book well in advance.

Can the session include family members and/or guests on the boat?

Absolutely. The people on the water with you are part of the story. Family portraits, candid moments, children on the bow, couples at the helm. All of it is part of what we document throughout the day.

When will I receive my images?

Your in-person reveal is typically scheduled within 2–3 weeks of your session. Final selected images are delivered following the reveal, once the collection design is complete. We do not rush delivery; your images arrive when they are right.
